
Barefoot Mission partners with the Argentine Betterment Corporation to host numerous events for the flushing of our neighborhood: including family nights, game nights, business collaborations, and more. These events strengthen community connections and create opportunities for neighbors, local businesses, and organizations to come together.

Barefoot Mission partners with Christ Connect Church to provide thousands of meals to students and families each year. This partnership allows us to step into the gap when WIC falls short and to help address food insecurity in local food deserts.

Barefoot Mission partners with local Wyandotte County schools to provide leadership development, after-school programming, and in-school mentorship.

Barefoot Mission hosts neighborhood camps and provides opportunities for dozens of local students to attend out of state camp each year. These ongoing relationships allow us to continue investing in students, building trust, and creating lasting connections with them and their families.

We love our team of baristas and volunteers at Grounded Sole Coffeehouse and the relationships we build with each person who joins our team. Through job training and hands-on experience, our team develops valuable skills such as responsibility, communication, organization, customer service, and workplace readiness.

Barefoot Mission’s partnerships with local businesses have been an incredible gift in helping us accomplish our daily mission and serve our community. Through school supply drives, maintenance projects, donated materials, and other forms of support, these businesses provide practical resources that make a meaningful difference.

Barefoot Mission partners with New City to host a community Easter egg hunt each year. This annual event provides a fun, welcoming opportunity for local children and families to celebrate Easter together and strengthen relationships within the community.

Barefoot Mission hosts a large Trunk or Treat each year, creating a safe and accessible way for local families to celebrate Halloween together. This event is especially important because traditional trick-or-treating is not always accessible for every family, while the Trunk or Treat provides an inclusive opportunity for children and neighbors to connect.

The Grounded Sole coffeehouse is an "all are welcome" gathering space that serves as a hub for fellowship and provides job opportunities to local young adults. With the generous support of patrons and the community, we are committed to serving everyone in the Kansas City area, regardless of their financial situation.

Barefoot Mission has partnered with the Metropolitan Avenue Methodist Church to launch the Argentine Wellness Center, currently known as The HUB, The HUB offers healthcare screenings, food assistance, work with refugee groups in order to promote community health and wellness for the whole person.

In partnership with Avenue of Life, Barefoot Mission helped launch the first program in Wyandotte County dedicated to housing homeless young women in the community. Avenue Youth House gives homeless women aged 16-24 a space to call home and provides a safe space for them to flourish. With this space we are committed to building a foundation for youth independence in Kansas City through collaborative, holistic experiences.
